At their meeting on Monday, the Preparatory Deputy Group determined the scheme of seating of people’s deputies in the session hall of the Parliament.
The sub-group on ensuring operation of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine of the seventh convocation and its bodies, administration of deputy powers, and social and everyday provision of people’s deputies of Ukraine submitted five variants of seating for consideration by the members of Preparatory Deputy Group.
Having discussed all variants and proposals, and votied respectively, the Preparatory Deputy Group approved the compromise variant of seating by sixteen votes upon the proposal by the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine and the Head of the Preparatory Deputy Group Volodymyr Lytvyn. Under this variant, the seats near the rostrum will be occupied by the independent deputies elected from the majority constituencies.
The Group granted a hearing to the information of the head of the sub-group on formation of deputy factions and deputy groups, the status and representation of non-affiliated people’s deputies of Ukraine in the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine bodies, as well on the inventory of competencies, composition and principles of formation of the committees of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine of the seventh convocation. The information on the results of work of the group was presented by Vasyl Rybak.
Today, the sub-group will continue discussing the number of committees and their subjects of competence.
The final decision concerning the inventory, quantitative composition and subjects of competence of parliamentary committees will be considered at the meeting of the Preparatory Deputy Group on Tuesday, December 11.
V. Lytvyn proposed also discussing the issue of granting consent on appointment of the Prime-Minister of Ukraine upon the submission of the President of Ukraine. He noted that the Parliament should consider this issue after forming Temporary Presidium of the first session of the Verkhovna Rada of the seventh convocation.
